Who owns the condominiums at Jupiter Bay, and can I rent one?

All condominium units in Jupiter Bay are individually owned and are a part of the 14-building, 359-unit Jupiter Bay Condominium Association (JBCA). Approximately 60% of Jupiter Bay’s members rent their unit one or more times during the year.  This is done through 20+ different rental agencies, none of which are associated or affiliated with JBCA. These agencies are listed on the “Leasing” page of this website.

There are few restrictions on leasing or renting condominium units in Jupiter Bay. Unit-owners can lease their units themselves or through any agency. There are limitations on the number of people who can occupy a unit, the size and number of pets, smoking on premises, and allowed vehicles. The Association must have a valid lease for all rentals, and renters must register their vehicles at the Association office.

Is the Jupiter Bay Resort and the Jupiter Bay Condominium Association the same?

Yes, both names are used to describe Jupiter Bay. The Jupiter Bay Resort name is used by at least one agency that rents units in Jupiter Bay on behalf of condo owners. It is not a legal name for the Association and its use tends to cause confusion, with potential visitors believing that the condominium units are centrally rented/maintained, and that the association has all the amenities of a resort community. This is not the case.

Jupiter Bay Condominium Association (JBCA) is the legal name for this association, established through the recording in 1982 of its Declaration in Palm Beach County, Florida. JBCA is an independent community maintained by Triton Property Management. It is unaffiliated with any other organization or agency.

What’s the difference between this website and the Association’s website?

This website was built and is being maintained by a Jupiter Bay condo-unit owner. Its purpose is to provide additional information about Jupiter Bay from the perspective of a 20+ year homeowner, prior board member/president, and licensed community association manager (CAM).

The Jupiter Bay Condominium Association’s (JBCA’s) official website www.JupiterBayCondoAssoc.com, provided by Triton Property Management, is a product of Frontsteps, a software development firm headquartered in Colorado that provides a variety of association-support products. JBCA uses the Frontsteps software primarily to store, and make available for owner access, documents required by Florida’s condo association website statute 718.111(12)(g).

This www.JupiterBayViewpoint.com website is entirely owner-funded and maintained. It provides a condo-owner’s perspective on association-related matters and statute requirements/changes, both of which are important for Florida condominium living. If you have questions regarding this website’s content, please submit them on the “Contact Us” page of this website. Thanks!
